2021/22 Nippers @ Mount Martha Life Saving Club
We have an exciting new program for Nippers this summer, with Friday night and Sunday morning sessions, running through the warmer summer months. Camps, special events, board training, and a schedule catering for a broad range of our member families have been added. Given the events of the past 18 months, we’re expecting an explosion in membership, seeking healthy outdoors fun and sport. Our Nippers Sub-Committee continue to develop initiatives supporting an engaging and exciting nipper program.
One of the exciting developments to be implemented, is the employment of a coaching team, supporting the development of our nipper members and strong relationships across the club. Coaches will have a Surf Bronze Medallion Qualification, and/or lifesaving sport experience, and/or PE/sport teaching skills. We seek the services of committed parents/seniors/masters to fill the following roles:
Nippers Coaching Team
| Head Coach – Nippers (x1) • Weekly board training • Friday night and Sunday morning training • Supporting Assistant Coaches • Coaching and support @ Nipper carnivals including Victorian Championships • Promoting and developing Nipper competition teams • Membership of the Nippers Sub-Committee |
Assistant Coaches – Nippers (x10) • Friday night and Sunday morning setup, training and pack up • Beach sprint, Beach Flags, Swim/Wade, Rescue Tube, Board specialist coaching • Opportunities for coaching/water safety @ Nipper carnivals/ Victorian Championships • Promoting and developing Nipper competition teams • Membership of the Nippers Sub-Committee |
We will hold a session detailing remuneration and expectations prior to appointments. Please feel free to share these opportunities

In addition, we require parents to join our Nipper Sub-Committee to support successful program implementation. Get
involved and support our exciting Nippers schedule. You don’t need to be an expert, just positive and enthusiastic.
Joining the Nipper Sub-Committee entitles you to the discounts of active membership. The more involved, the better.
