MMLSC SCHEDULED TRAINING SESSIONS for 2022/23 SEASON

All members must RSVP to each training session via Team App Events. This is to ensure we are complying with our COVIDSafe plan of managing group numbers and contact tracing. Training is open to all members aged 13+ years, all levels of fitness, from beginners to advanced.

Winter Training Schedule

GENERAL MEMBERS – EQUIPMENT USAGE

The following days and times are when members can come down go for a swim or use club equipment.  Remember if you are using equipment on the water i.e. boards, ski’s or SUPs, please ensure you have a high-visibility rash vest on available from Merchandise. 

Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays – 7.30am-9.00am 

Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays (Nov-Easter during patrol season) 12pm-5.30pm 

If you are unsure introduce yourself to someone and ask for help, always ask a patrol member during patrol.  Nippers must be supervised by an adult at all times.

COVID CLEANING – Please ensure equipment is hosed off and wiped with sanitising wipes prior to returning to rack.

CHANGE ROOMS – Please wear appropriate footwear in the shower and changerooms. Wipe down surface areas when finished.  Please supervise children at all times.

The following general use equipment can be used during the above times: 

Soft Nipper Boards – Under 6-10

Fibreglass Nipper Boards – Under 11-13

Soft Green Racing Mals 10’6″ – All members (nippers to be supervised)

Fibreglass Racing Mals 10’6″ – Adult members & Under 14 and above.

19ft Racing Ski – Adult members and Under 17 and above.  First time users please ask for assistance.

Stand Up Paddle Boards – All members (nippers to be supervised by an adult)

Life Jackets are available for all members, highly recommended if you do not hold a Bronze Medallion.

Equipment must be free of sand before placing back on the racks, please wash in salt water or use the hose at the corner of the equipment room.

Please ensure you assist your nipper or seek help when returning heavy equipment.  Equipment is easily damaged on the concrete apron.  Please report any damaged equipment to a Patrol or Committee Member.

COMPETITION EQUIPMENT – All good competition equipment is stored in the patrol area of the club.  This equipment can only be used during sanctioned MMLSC training times and as directed by the MMLSC Coach.
